Sigh....Transmission issues. Need some help! (will it END ALREADY?)

Ok. In the past month I have posted a number of posts getting to the bottom of issues. Thanks to all of your help, experience and advice I successfully have solved ALL my issues with my engine and everything else. Thanks for that.

Now that the other issues are solved I have one last one: The transmission.

I know that the shift points suck in the automatic. I have always thought that. but lately it has been shifting rough! if you are barely pressing the pedal goin 20 it jumps a little.

between the speeds of 40-60 (usually when the OD gear kicks in) I get a SLIGHT driveline vibe on and off due to the low rpms. it wants to sit at 1500 rpms and the trans is like begging to down shift but it doesnt.

I dont want to have to use the OD-OFF button all the time.

I have 33k miles.

I have it scheduled for a service at the local dealership next moday. they are also getting a transmission tech to look into it.

I WANT them to find something wrong because if they come back and say "well it all looks normal! your good to go!" Im gonna be pissed.

What is your experience with this?

Its still under warrenty and if you get it doccumented and its still not 100% just keep taking it back. You may have to try a different dealer and if you get no help call D.C.

that's just how my tranny as well (04 4spd). I use the OD Off button but it's a bit of a hassle as well. there are ways you can try to reset the shift points by cutting power but the fact remains that this tranny always shifts way too early and vibes at 40-50mph.

The whole reason I didnt get the manual is because I thought "well the jeep is kinda rough anyway, and with all my driving an auto would be smooth." especially after the test drives. This is just plain a pain in the A! I wish I had bought the manual.

Its getting to the point where I'd rather take my girls grand cherokee than the LJ when we go places on the weekend because it isnt such a aggrivating ordeal to drive.

Man they better find something.....

BTW there is no filter in my year's trans. (I was told by the dealer.) they just drop the pan and reseal it...
