shudder ??

When i start from a dead stop my jeep actually shudders when taking off.. bad enough to vibrate the entire jeep?
Its a 97 sport
6cyl
ax -15

Only does it from a dead stop.
i checked u joints, all linkage, made sure motormounts were tight. made sure tranny was tight to engine, and that all the mounts were good to t case. made sure driveline was tight . but kinda stumped on where to go next.

Clutch slipping? How many miles on the Jeep?

Any lift on the Jeep? Pinion angle look okay?

waddle

Hey my jeep does the same thing, only if I take off a little faster then normal, kinda like a duck waddling, only for about 5 to 10 feet, then all is ok, it is not so bad I can't live with it.

don't think it s my clutch. but thinking about it after it was replaced .. not right after but it did start showing and feeling shuddery... its lately gotten to the point where its horrible.. i rate it a 10 over death wobble.

i run 38s . and 8 inch RR lift. pinion angle has always been an issue but its never caused this type of vibration. i haven't looked at R&R yet. that might be my next step but it mostly came after my jeep sitting for a while i got it fixed but bent my front housing. so my jeep sat for like 4 months. till i could afford replacement.

it feels almost like my engine wants to go one way while the jeep goes another.
