shock advice needed

Have: 99 TJ, 31" tires, 2"BB spacers with bumpstop extensions.

Need: New shocks.

If I get Bilstein 5100s, they are adjustable from 0-2" of lift. How should I set them up? At 0" or at 2"? Can I get rid of the bumpstop extensions or should I leave them in?

You can't adjust your ride height via shocks. That is determined by the spring or combination of spring and coil spacers.

Only thing that can be adjusted on your shocks is the dampening, which the 5100s don't do. You just have to make sure you buy them for a jeep with 2" of lift.

I thought they had a snap ring that lets you set it for different heights. Maybe I am mistaken.

Anyway.. will this shock work with my setup? Should I keep the bumpstop extenders?

Plain shocks like that are not adjustable. You need shocks that range from 0-2". Best to measure to be exact though, but they should work well with needed bumpstop extenders.
