Here's a pic in which you can kinda see the front of the console (in front of the shifter). There's just two "holes", one's real deep and hold my cell phone perfectly, and the other is about the same depth as the tray above the radio.

85fiero,

yer have the same holder setup on mine, but don't you find that putting coins in the uper holder that they go everywhere as soon as you take a sharp corner etc?

Mine also come with the smokers ashtray thingy which tapes up a cup holder space, and I sometimes use it for coins, but find it hard to get coins outa it sometimes when in a rush.

You can see the slots where coins would go.

What a difference a year makes! The '04 and '05 center consoles are completely different.

I just throw the coins in the cupholder. Having to open the center console or reach in front of the shifter whenever I needed a coin would be a PITA. I live in NJ where there's a toll plaza about every 5 feet.

They changed it because of the need to accomodate the leather shift boot for the 6 speed tranny, the accordian would bind when putting it in reverse. I added the leather shift boot to mine because it is better in cold weather and looks nicer.

I don't put the coins in the upper tray, I put them all in the ashtray, which sits in the cupholder.
