Why? Will no one over 5 feet tall ever want to drive it?

rear seat right? I don't think you would want to move the front seat...and what is this "trunk" you speak of? And if it is the back seat...why are you moving it?

I would think that if you wanted to move the rear seat that far forward (making no possibility of anyone sitting in it) you might just take it out? Or do wee ones ride back there?

If you did move it, or any seat - be sure you put Very Large backing washers underneath - 3" square 1/8" steel plates for example. You want it secure in case of accident.

Do you mean to move the rear seat backwards towards the rear of the Jeep to allow for more leg room?

no I meant to move the rear seat forward. it is exasperating that I can't fit much in the "trunk" with the seat in. but it is more important that people be able to sit there.

no way can you move it forward and still get people to sit in there and be comfy, thats why the unlimited came out, more room in the rear, if you need to put stuff back there fold up the rear seat, or do what I and some others have done, ditch the rear seat all together

If you are looking for more trunk space then why not just eliminate the rear seat?

How many times do yuo have more than 2 people in the Jeep? I asked my self the same question and eventually removed the rear seat (and seatbelts) and even added an Olympic Mountaineer Rack in the back. I have more than enough storage room now.

I plan on ditching the rear seat when I go to 33"s cause I will have no way to carry my spare (until I get a swingaway) I think passangers are for Grand Cherokees and KJ's anyway.

There is a company who will "split" your back seat. I don't remember the site but there is a write up on it. You send them you rear seat and then you get it back Split fold down. You could still have room for one person and room for gear, if that's what you're looking for. I don't think it is going to be as cheap as moving the seat foward but at least you could still use the seat.

Do you have a Number or e-mail for this company that'll split the rear seat. How much are we looking at to split that seat?

The write-up for the split seats is on rockcrawler.com. I'm retarded on a computer, otherwise I would link it. It was offered by AFM Enterprises, but when I tried the link it didn't work. No mention of price. Seems like a pretty cool idea though.

Look under the tech section, then first under "Miscellaneous Stuff". I don't know if any of the links work anymore, I couldn't get them to for me.
