seat heaters and seat covers is it ok?

I ordered some of those carbon fiber seat heaters. I was looking at the seats and it dosent look like they are going to be easy to get apart and probibly even harder to put back together. I was wondering if I could install them on the seat and just put a seat cover over them? Since I have been looking at seat covers anyway.

I will be installing some under my Bestop seat covers. I don't see it being a problem. Just don't leave it on for days at a time.

I was thinking about putting a set of Iggee seat covers on my seats, and I was concerned that if I put the heaters under the factory covers, then put on the Iggee covers, the heat wouldn't work as well.

I emailed Iggee and they didn't see any problems with putting the heaters between the seat and the seat cover.

Either way, it's really not difficult to take the factory covers off. Remove the seat and bring it inside so you can get a better look from underneath, it'll be pretty clear how they come apart.

I got mine off Ebay for $60. Just make sure they can't get wet.

Not necessarily... I think it's just not a good idea to get an electrical heating element wet.

Beware my iggees ripped, faded, and were not water proof. Others seem to like them. I hate them and their customer service (it was great until I said I wanted to send them back for a refund, then no answer??)

I bought some from another auto supply website for $100 each also. I haven't got around to installing mine either. I think I will install mine under the factory covers for now and I if add some better covers they will go on right on top over the factory covers. It shouldn't be a problem because I have them in my other trucks with thick leather seats and I can feel the heat just fine.
