Which Seat Covers

I am looking for options on seat covers for the summer.

I've read that folks dislike Neoprene for the fact that you get HOT (read SWEATY) from them.

Any other options for damp/wet bathing suits in the TJ?

Thanks.

Bestop seat covers fit like a glove, are 100% waterproof, and look good enough that you soon forget they are only seat covers. Mine lasted 7-8 years before I swapped in aftermarket seats they no longer fit.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

I've got the Bestop covers and I'd give them an "ok" rating. The passenger one "fits like a glove" b/c it doesn't get used too often. The driver's side cover, however, slides around a bit too much for my liking. I have to keep pulling it fwd and can't get it as tight as I'd like. Perhaps it slides more b/c I've got vinyl seats underneath instead of cloth. Regardless, they look and work much better than the duct tape patchwork I was sporting before.

I had Iggee covers on mine prior to installing aftermarket seats. Absolutely loved them. They're not the cheapest on the market but they fit so well people often asked me if they were custom leather seats. You can get them on ebay cheaper than the list price on their website.

Thanks.

I believe this is the reason the term SWAMP A$$ was brought back into circulation.

After a 2 hour + drive in the summer, I was guaranteed to have to take a shower.

I have to agree about the Best tops, they get warm in the summer but being water proof and so easy to clean make it worth it.

I am very happy with my Iggee seat covers. They fill well, look good, and are easy to clean.

I like my Neoprene seat covers, but up here the summers aren't hot for long so I don't have to deal with the swass so much.

Just have to understand that by waterproof, they mean they'll keep water away from your seat but will still absorb water into the cover itself, so leaving the Jeep out in the rainstorm still sucks, with the exception that it will absorb less water than the seats themselves would, and you can take them off when wet.

Plus they're good to take off and hose the mud off.

But if you want pure waterproof, as in just wipe them down with a rag and they're dry, look elsewhere.

I've got Bestop seat covers in mine and I love them. Easy clean up and they match plus they're not that expensive, paid like $125 from 4wheel parts.

What about the new SmittyBilt MOLLE seat covers? You get seat protection and a whole lot of neat gear bags for your stuff....

Just my 2 cents!

I had the Mopar cloth/neoprene covers. They kept water off the seat, but the fabric held it in. Also, over time, the neoprene faded BAD. I swapped em out at Xmas for the Bestops. Bestops looked a bit wrinkled at first, but as they've been on the seats for a bit, look a lot better. Not as tight a fit as I'd like, but better than the neoprene ones I had previously.

Keep moving forward. But keep an eye on history, for if you don't, you are doomed to repeat it.
