Seat Belts FUBAR "Add It To The List"

I started to remove my roll cage last night, to prep for spray in bed liner. When I disconnected the seat belt retractors, the remaining material was rolled in with the spring tension. I tried to retract the seat belts from the roller now they are stuck in and will not let out. How can I get them to start to let out again?

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure if you hold the bottom part level, like it would be if it's hooked up in the jeep, it should work.I heard that if you bolt the bottom up first then hook up the top part it will work also.

Here is a link with the same issues should help you out try attaching the bottom end with the spool first and then the other end.

I thought mine were broke for a week. As soon as I bolted them back in they worked.
