Jerry,

Thanks for posting up our new rockers!

03rubiconMG,

These are as strong if not stronger than mild steel rockers. The aluminum rocker base is 3/16" 6061-T6 and the stainless steel replaceable slider is 1/8". Stainless steel is a harder metal than the mild steel most rockers are made of. The area where the rocker base and SS meet is 5/16" thick of material. That's BEEF! These will definately slide much better than the mild steel version because the SS is harder. We will still offer the mild steel as a less exspenive alternative.

Vandano,

I plan to put grip tape on the top of the slider. Since i'm vertically challenged, I need the tape. As for coating, you'll be on your own. We probably can get it done but it will be a lot less expensive to do it yourself. There are a couple of reasons. Once we coat them, we then must really pack them up nicely so the packaging and handling cost drive the price up. Also, we've learned that we can't please everyone on the different coatings.

I hear you and will explore a black powder coating option but no promises.

I just need to finish up putting the flares and stuff back on and I'll get some shots. The rockers weigh just under 30 lbs a side.

Thanks all we are excited about this product and hope you guys like them as much as we do. I can wait to go wheeling and testing these out!

Gerald

I appreciate the consideration and similar to the taillights they desire for black would be there. Understandably if its more cost effective for me to have em coated, by all means send em bare.

Or perhaps send instructions to properly painting them so repairs are made easier.

If i buy these do i get a sticker?

That is nice looking design work, and I really like the idea of replaceable slider pieces, it opens the door to all sorts of optional steps/sliders.

I like the fact that you can easily go from Beat up trail slider on Sunday to something nice and powder coated to drive to work on Monday with a couple bolts.

I am assuming the abrasion resistant is for those guys doing hardcore curb crawling?

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of slider for the trail, turned down tube step for my wife when we are cruising around town in the summer, but yeah, I guess beat up/pretty works too

I'll get them in the morning. But there is a 3/8" aluminum plate inside for the six bolts that are accessible.
