Savvy Unlimited LS - Silver Mule
Today I found a 2004 TJ Unlimited. It is a wreck but not to bad. I have most everything already to do the build. What I plan to document is the new mid arm suspension kit we currently are running on the King of the Hammers Every Man Challenge winner. The only difference may be coil overs just for packaging issue.
We also plan to do a LS conversion. I have been wanting to do one for so long! Since the body will be off the frame we might as well do the the suspension while we are doing the drive train conversion. I have a 5.3 truck motor and 4L60E tranny from a 2006 Chevy Avalanche as the donner motor.
This build is going to take time as we are completing our KOH/NORRA Unlimited buggy now.
Here are some pictures:

It says Rubicon on the hood but it is not. As it doesn't have the rockers, driving lights or correct wheels.

Thats so weird...... I also have a silver 04 unlimited.
And it has the same rust spot on the passenger rocker.
If you'd like to give it a go on mine as well, I'd let you do the same makeover to my ride as a practice run. That way you'll be ready for all that lays ahead.

I had a 2008 H3 Alpha with the 5.3L in it. Beast of a motor. Threw an intake, catback, and went to PCMForLess for a custom tune and it was like a whole new truck after the tune. It was just angry, and mean, and the shifts threw you back in the seat.
Once you have everything buttoned up find someone to do a custom tune on that thing and you wont be dissapointed, but I'm sure you already know that.
Good Luck.

Awesome. I've got an LS swap and a mid-arm build coming down the pipe at some point, and I've been examining the Savvy KOH rig as carefully as the internet will allow.
Again, I wish I lived closer to you guys...a mid-arm kit would be something I'd throw on to test in a heartbeat.
