Always stronger. I'm not that familiar with the trail they mentioned in the hammers.. But it sounds like this cage will get tested lol. Keep in mind that cage is far from done so just be patient.

Not the Hammers... Moab and the LJ has a big butt for them.

If it's sold in kit form it'll also be much cheaper to package and ship made out of straight tubing.

That cage is sweet. Sure would be nice if Savvy branched out into the cage market

This is what I'd like to put in it but I don't want to spend another 15k for the 525HP LS3 and 4L85e Supermatic (good for 800lbs torque and 1000HP). This cost twice as much as I paid for the LJ!

I'm looking to put a 5.3 in mine. The opda in my 4.0 has caused some wear that pisses me off and the nsg370 is giving me issues. I'd like to rid both of those headaches and just swap them out.

How would you get an e-rod motor to pass inspection? It was to my understanding that the engine would have to come out of a vehicle the same year or newer?

The E-rod is a brand new 100% complete turnkey LS3 engine and emissions package. Last I heard they were only OBD1 compliant in CA, but an OBD2 version was in the works. Maybe they've gotten approval by now.

I tried to find out if the latest version eE-Rod motors was ODB 1 or 2 compliant. I don't see it anywhere. I'm curios now.

According to the document linked below it is OBD II.

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/pdfs...N-D-126-30.pdf

And, it's only $7,800 here: http://www.crateenginedepot.com/E-Ro...10895C955.aspx

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfunction or uninstall themselves at any time.

is that an atlas transfer case in the background?

i've been searching for details / pics of how the skid plate needs to be modified on a 5.3 swap out, when the TC ends up in a difference position than original.

do you have any pics / details of what you have done before?

Nice! But after reading that memo it is only good on 1995 and older vehicles. Am I missing something? TurnkeyJeep get the LS motor in a JK through no problem.

For the people following the Savvy Spartan. I have a 2006 Rubicon Transfer case 4:1 with 38K miles on it. I'll take $1000 plus shipping. Email me if you want it!

A new cross member must me made. The Spartan will be getting an engine swap later. Then you will be able to see what we did.
