found a local "old school hotrod guy" that has been doing louvers for years, he charges 1.50 a louver. he does really clean work, now i just need to find someone to paint for a reasonable fee.

oh, well they look really good. I think I'll end up going with some type of louvers as my paint is under warranty & the clear coat is splitting a little on the hood (under hood temps & FL sun). If the hood is going to be repainted under warranty, I figure I should put some louvers in at the same time.

Edit: obviously not factory warranty, a local body shop warranty

If you have louvers done have them inverted, they look really good and the paint guy can do a much better job.

By inverted you mean they don't stick up out of the hood but rather poke down into the engine bay?

LOOKS GOOD!

How do you like the Raceline wheels compared to the trailreadys?

I have trailreadys and am thinking of either getting rid fo the rock ring and going with a slim ring so they balance a lil easier or just getting new racelines.

Prefer the Raceline for looks and support. Raceline really supports our sport by sponsor lots of racers and events.

I glanced through the build but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Can you give me some info on the axles you're running. I see you're running Vanco brakes but do you have stock unit bearings, ball joints and such? What's the width as well. Oh bolt pattern. Thanks.

It has a Currie RockJock rear axle with Explorer brakes The front is Currie F9 9" housing with Hi-pinion third member. It was D30/44 knuckles and unit bearings with Ram 1500 calipers and master. This kit Blaine designed and is also sold by Savvy and Vanco. They require 17" brakes and stop 37s with ease. Stock 5 x 4.5. Totally sleeper! As soon as I get it smogged, I'll drop the LS motor I have ready for it! Then I have two years to drive it before I have to resmog.
