SA and 36" Iroks?

Ok, I know generally speaking to go over a 35" tire, you need to go LA. Lets say, I have alll the required adjustable control arms, and flat fender etc, with lets say 4" OME springs. I know I would be able to fit my desired tire size. However, are there any other complications with running that large of a tire on a SA or is just because you would generally need to go for LA's on the required height to clear those tires..?

Thanks
Josh

lift makes the difference with SA vs. LA...not necessarily the tire size...

I ran my 36's on short arms to start with...

What BigWaylon said.I run 37's with SA's but I only have a 4in lift with 1in BL.Bumpstops, tubefenders ,& a sawzall can do a lot.I do want to go to LA's but I don't plan to lift it anymore.

Large vacuum leak sucking all the dead presidents out of my wallet.

My friend too runs the same setup with a d35 and locked for at least 2yrs

He must not go in the rocks. The only place you could MAYBE get away with that is in the mud.

I broke my D35 with 33's and the stock trak lock.

Oh, and I am running 36" Iroks on SA's.....

A guy at the NS Jeep Jam last weekend was running 36" Iroks on a RE 4.5" Superflex kit, he flexed 1375 on the ramp (drove up untill he was falling over the top).

That's what I have, 4.5" RE SA and 36" Irok's, and my next mod is to long arm it. It all works fine, but for me the ride, handling and flex are not good enough.
