Rugged Ridge vs Nates Swing Out Tire Carrier
I am looking for a rear bumper with a swing out carry. I wish I could find someone in the Chicagoland area that I could work with and make a rear carryier. So, now I need to buy something. I am looking at these two mostly because of cost. I know you get what you pay for but my neightbor has the SRC with no problems. I am looking for peoples experence and opinion of either. Thanks

Look at www.llamabumpers.com Fairly cheap and they look like they are built pretty well and will customize with what you want. I'm going to order the rear bumper with the "A" frame tire carrier w/o the receiver.

I can't really say I like the latch assembly they use on the llama bumpers... seems like they would be noisy... I prefer a clamp latch...

I ordered the rear bumper with cans, I had a similar concern, but eventuially went with the "T" bolt, but they were willing to change the latch to something else if I had an idea of what I wanted or could provide it to them. I would suggest you drop them an e-mail. They were willing to customize.
