Rugged Ridge Classic Rock Bumper Rear Tire Carrier????

If this needs to be moved, please do so.

Now, looking into an inexpensive solution to my rear bumper/tire carrier issue. Tailgate is starting to rattle a little with the 32" spare, money is tight right now. So, just want to see if anyone has any info on the Rugged Ridge Classic Rock Bumper Rear Tire Carrier. Very affordable, I know you get what you pay for also. Is anyone running this bumper? Pro's/Con's?

Thanks,

Andy

i got this not too long ago...its great...easy to install and no rattles...you do have to cut the center rubber bushing (i think other carriers require this too) which takes a little time...just make sure you don't cut it too short or there will be too much slack...the only bad thing about it is that the top skinny post rattles no matter how tight the bolt is...nothing a few tack welds can't fix.

I have this bumper also. It works ok. After awhile it starts to rattle a little, but its a jeep so who cares. If you have a body lift you don't have to cut anything. The top post won't rattle if you install the rubber tire bumper that comes with the kit.

For the money its been ok. Better then having the spare on the tail gate.

I am commenting as a vendor. I don't have this on my Jeep but I have sold alot of them. I have heard some people with issues of some rattling but not as many as say they like it. I have seen this question posted many times and there are people who have $800 tire carriers and have rattle problems.
Here is a tip for you. We just got in a shipment of smittybilt rear classic bumpers. They are the exact same as RR but a little cheaper. Shoot me a PM and I can give you a quote w/ shipping.

I have the smittybilt one and Its alright once you finally get in on good. The bolts on the top of the bumper that connect it to the frame tie-ins stripped out so I had to cut new threads but other than that Its a pretty good tire carrier.
