since this has over 4 pages about these bumpers i did a write up on my rear bumper install today. im still waiting on the front one.

Question - What kind of grease (does it matter?) should you use on the hinge? Regular old lithium ok?

The instructions don't say, and I've emailed Smittybilt, been waiting a few days now for response...

thanks for the writeup! all though, you WOULD wait to do this AFTER I ordered it already!!!

But you just made me more happy with my choice.....again for the $$$, you can't beat that setup!

does anyone know if anywhere else has them on sale? there's a local 4x4 shop that will sell them for 300, so i if i dont find them on sale i'll buy it through them so that i dont have to pay any shipping

4 wheel parts was having free shipping up until Jan 1st......now that sale is over. Look around online, I'm sure someone out there is still selling them cheap.

you too...... I only got my bumper yesterday and UPS LOST the carrier. But 4 wheel parts said they would OVERNIGHT a carrier and said it will be here tomorrow. If it comes in tomorrow, I'm off on Thursday, so I will put it on and post some pics.

I just got an email that says I can expect my other half on Friday. I guess they shipped mine out of 2 different warehouses.

same happened here...it DIDN'T come in today either. again they told me "tomorrow"...

I hope it comes in tomorrow, I'm off and I won't have another opportunity to put on for another 2 weeks if it doesn't.
