Rugged Ridge Bumper

Hey I was wondering if anyone here has or knows anything about the Rugged Ridge rock crawler style bumper. If not can anyone tell me where to get a decent looking bumper comparable to the Rugged Ridge. It is going to be for a 99 wrangler (christmas gift for my father). He likes the style of the pre-runner types. Any comments would be appreciated!

There has been alot of talk about those here in the past few days. Here is one thread:

I was going to get one until i found out the approach angle was decreased dramatically

Did Rugged Ridge buy out Smittybuilt?

Because those bumpers look pretty similiar if not exactly the same.

Yea, i asked that same question in another similar thread. There are a few venders selling the src bumpers on ebay for pretty cheap. Same thing 4wd.com did with the tube fenders (still dont know if anyone ever got them or not)

Actually, i had ordered the omix-ada 7" flares, the box said rugged ridge on it as well. Really threw me off. Here ya go:

That bumper is on the main page.

I have this front bumper and love it, i didnt find that it cut my approach any at all.
I have had the front of my jeep resting on the bumper on decent that went bad and the bumper held up great under the stress.

Do you have any profile (side) shots of your rig with the bumper on?

I've thought about this bumber. But I think it only looks good and is worth getting if you have or plan on getting a winch. I'm not going that far with mine. I may go for their twin tube front bumper though.
