Will jeep make rubicons in 04 is is this the only year they are making them? Are they going to make more than 8000 this year?

The Rubicon is a new edition to the Wrangler lineup and should return for '04. As to numbers for production next year, I don't know. I would imagine this years sales numbers and interest will dictate the production numbers next year.

Should we anticipate a price drop then? I have a 98 TJ, and I'll run it into the ground, but a Rubicon might be the first brand new vehicle I purchase. Hopefully in the next few years the retail will go down.

Not a chance (of a price drop). They've already raised the price $100, since it first came out.

I'm planning to special order a Rubicon. Dealers aren't ordering them my way (fully loaded). They are discounted as other models are (Cost + $1000). That's in Washington State, have heard the same thing from someone in Chicago. You can expect to wait 8 - 10 weeks for delivery - but it comes with zero miles and your name on it.

RUBICON

I bought my RUBI in mid-November. I called all over to find a good deal on it. Through the place I work I got my 02 for 3% under invoice. I tried to get that deal for the RUBI but it wasn't happening. Nobody would touch the invoice price. So I went to Carmax one night and I got it for 1000 under invoice. I couldn't believe it the place right by my house and I never even called there. The window sticker on my RUBI was 28,670 and I got it for under 25800, and I got 4.9% .So keep lookin there's a good price out there

Here is a thought:

Wait a couple of years until the Rubicons start coming back in on trade. We all know that not all of these vehicles will be lifted/offroaded.

By then they may only cost around 20k
