Rubicon Locker in an 03-06 LJ d44

I just came across a rear dana 44 locker from a rubicon.

I found a few posts on here that said 2003-2006 TJ sport and LJ Unlimited jeeps had a slightly larger d44 housing that would accommodate the locker. Can anyone verify this?

I'm planning to use this as part of my upgrade to 4.88 gears. I'm assuming I'll have to buy thick-cut rubicon gears, right?

I figure I'll need a switch, electrical wire, a rubi air pump, and air line. Am I missing anything?

youre right on the housings being different - I'm running a front rubi locker in my TJ d44 housing (sourced from a 98) and when I was doing the research I came across this same info.

Yes, you will need thick cut gears and you'll also need to tap the 44 for the air line - I used an arb fitting and airline but the stock rubi pump

So we should assume you're thinking of putting it in a D30 then?
