Rubicon lifted?

I went to the jeep dealer today to buy some goodies and i was looking at a 2004 Rubi. Salesman came up to me to see if i needed help. I asked him what kind of lift the rubi had . He said there is no lift, it is the same as the other model jeeps(X,sport,etc..). Then he proceeded to tell me that i can fit 33's on my jeep with stock lift and no rubbing. I think i am going to have to raise the BS flag on the salesman, what do you guys think?

I suggest you go back and try to fit a 33 inch tire in his mouth, with no rubbing. with all the BS he is giving out, it should fit fairly easy

I'm pretty sure the Rubi has a 1" lift higher than stock. I can't really see a 33 fitting under a stock TJ, and if it did, you would get rubbing from running over a pebble.
All salute the BS flag.

33's will fit on there but they will definately rub. I don't think Jeep claims that the Rubi sits any higher but it might just a little... not much though.

The rubi is not lifted. It has stiffer springs, but no lift. Also. you can install 33's and as long as you don't hit anything more serious than a small speedbump, they will not rub...

ask me how I know.

Everyone except the dealer is correct on this one. The 33s will rub.

Hehe, you can even fit 35's on a stock jeep if you don't hit any bumps at all. I've got pictures.

The dealer was correct on both accounts. Rubis are NOT lifted and you can fit 33s on a TJ and drive it WITHOUT rubbing as long as you stay on the road and dont put anyone or anything in the back.

Do you have more than 1.5"s in between your 30" tires and you fender?.......

There you go.
