Rubicon Express RE Monotube Shocks or OME Shocks on 33's / RE4.5sf

From what I am hearing the price differance is not that differant but the differance is performance is.

This vehicle will mainly be used for offroading / trails and being towed from trail to trail but will also be driven to the trails as well. NOT MY Daily driver.

The lift being installed is a RE SF 4.5 kit with NP231 AA HD SYE + TW CV Shaft.

Dont have a Body lift but some have said I might want to run a MORE 1" but I am only going to be running 33's MAYBE down the road 35 but not for the time being.

Thanks for being there guys !

Same basic set up I have. I have the OME shocks, and really like them. I honestly don't have any experience with the monotube shocks you are refering to...at least on this set up. But the OME shocks feel firm, but not like I feel every single pebble if you know what I mean...which is exactly what I was looking for. Mine is also not my DD, but I like to cruise the streets sometimes...and the OME shocks perform well for me during those times. It drives nice enough that I wouldn't hesitate in taking it a couple hundred miles on a trip.

I also have the AA SYE, which works great. I went with the spicer DS though. Works fine. I'm running 33's, too...but regeared to 4.56's from 3.73's and am glad I did.

Hope that helps some.

you can get regeared pretty reasonable and if your budget allows I rec. it, I went from 3.07s to 4.56 w/ detroit rear, and lock rite front....really makes a huge difference but I also did the gears back in Feb so I have had time to save....I have heard so much about the OME shocks that even though they are a little more I am getting them.....
