Really depends on the shocks. A BB with nice shocks will ride better than a suspension with full coils and crappy shocks.

I dont think you can get a significantly better ride then stock with any short arm lift. Maybe a little beter but if you really wont a huge change in the ride better save up for a long arm kit.
