Rubi vs tj height

I was at the dealer yesterday and saw a tj sport 2004 the same color as me with all the same equipment....half doors etc.... and I was surprise to see that we sit a the same height cause I parqued very close to him to compare.
My Rubi is all stock and I know that a rubi has more stiff spring and shocks so it sit little higher than a sport but not too much.

Simply.....the sport has 31-10.5-15 tires and a BB with new shocks and I was stock so my question is ...

If I install a BB, with the same 31'' tires, will I, in theory, be almost 2'' higher than this tj.....so I'll have an equivalent of 3 or 4 inch of lift ??

OR..... maybe this Tj has some cheap shocks lol dont know...

thanks

the stock tj is not too much shorter than a stock Rubi. it did not necessarily need a bb and 31's to be the same as you. did he have a body lift, or just Daystar spacers? if u do a bb you might be close to 3 maybe 3.5 taller than a bonestock tj.

My stock(otherwise than 2'' BB) TJ looks a lot bigger than rubi's. I've compared it on a dealers lot, all I need one day is new tires for mine.

maybe he's tires where aired down and he's coil where sagging....I dont know.....
But I'm sure he has 2inch spacers and no body lift,

I did not say that I was a lot higher this jeep but mostly the same height minus 3/16 to 1/8 lower.

Was just wondering some things.

thanks

there is no logic in that. that is the same logic people use to claim their intake, filter, and tb gave them a 45 HP increase... things are just simply not additive like that.

my 97 tj has a 2" BB with 32" tires and it sits exactly the same hieght with stock rubicons.

so if you get a BB i would venture to guess you would be sitting two inches hgher than a non rubi jeep, but it wouldnt preform the same as a 4" lift kit....

but honestly, im talking out my ***...alls i know is...i park next to a stock rubi, doesnt matter whos...and we are the same height...

Blame that on your 7 yr old stock springs compared to brand new ones.
