Rough road hop on smooth road
OK here's the situation- '06 wrangler sport 4.0 auto ALL STOCK - I have run into this problem several times in differant road conditions but here is the most common (everyday on the way home from work)
Driving down road go around curve (pavement is a little rough in curve which causes jeep to wanna hop a little- depending on speed of course) but after i get out of curve the front end is still "hopping" for 1/4 - 1/2 mile - It is kinda hard to hold it in the road _ I can handle it but the wife drives it sometimes (and that scares me a little) I can see it having a bad vibration or "hopping" while on the rough pavement and maybe just after getting off rough area (due to stiff suspension) but this seems excessive Please advise ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not good. Not normal. If you dont know what you are looking at, get it checked.

Is the steering wheel shaking? Sounds like mine. I put a new stering stabilizer on today and calmed it down. Just the OEMreplacement from O'Rielly.

I think you should check the alignment and the condition of the tie rod ends. While you're at it, check the condition of the tracbar bushings and the control arm bushings.
edit: Also, might want to check wheel balance. |
