Which bumpstops are you talking about? The RC ones on the shocks? I cut them off and tossed them in the trash because the shock absorber is not intended to act as a bumpstop. I installed the correct 2" bumpstops front and rear to keep the shocks from bottoming out.

I'm assuming they have to be cut off?

Nah, you can gnaw them off, it just takes longer.

Which 2" bump stops did you use? Did they require the removal of the factory bump stops?

I used the energy suspension polyurethane bump stops in place of my TERRIBLE CONDITION factory ones. $20 a pair. My lift is done. I am very happy with the lift I got. I did not measure, but getting in and out is sure more difficult, lol. The ride is nice. The springs were a bear to get in. I used ratchet straps. I added the rear trackbar bracket and the steering stabilizer. Jeffrey from Rough Country was great. I am really glad I did it myself, not only for the money I saved, but it was a good time working with my brothers. Tomorrow I am going to get an alignment. The steering wheel is only off by a hair. Here are some pictures.

The rear bumpstop extensions I bought from RC for about $19 or 20. They go between the OEM bumpstop and the top coil spring bucket. Unbolt the OEM stop, insert the extension, put the OEM back in place, then tighten the new longer bolt.

The front bumpstop "extensions" go on the axle side and required me to drill a hole in the mount to bolt it on. It looks just like a hockey puck, which many use. I believe these are OME from Quadratec.

What's the problem we're looking at here? I must be overlooking the obvious.

Is it supposed to be resting on the skid plate ?
It seems to be setting up a little.
Mine does the same thing and is it ment to be that way ?

Thanks.
