One end of the shock has round opening with a rubber insert. In the rubber insert goes a round bar that's flattened on each end with a holes for the mounting bolts. Mine came from RC with those missing for the front shocks. I didn't want to remove the ones from the existing shocks because its a big PITA and would probably ruin the rubber in the shock mount. No biggie but I have plans for those shocks.

I already posted pic's but I'll post one again. Also I am going to the 2009 Desert Safari the first week of march and I will get some good pics of it in action for everyone.

Just got mine...
I have searched, pondered, searched again on which size tire/wheel to get. Tough decision. I have thought of Moabs with 31s or 32s, keep my Ravines with 31 or 32s. or black steelies with 31s or 32s (all with aggressive tread). I've searched the forum and other sites to get ideas. Then I figured I'd ask those posting to this thread to share their Rough Country 2.5 lift experience.
I have an 04 Unlimited so my gearing is the stock 3.73. I don't want to go any bigger than 32s because it will be my DD. Can you post pics of your Jeeps (side profiles?) with 31s or 32s w/any wheel? I know I could ask for this in the Picture Thread, but I am looking for the specific application of the RC 2.5 lift. Thanks in advance! |
