Rotating Tires

Could anyone tell me how to rotate my spare in with the other tires? Have BFG A/T KO's...are they normally rotated front to back?

Thanks!

Front to back is what have been doing. I leave the spare out of the mix, I have heard of others doing that.

When I bought my jeep, the first owner had not rotated the spare in with the other tires and I was going to do the same. But after talking to a really good mechanic friend of mine (who used to work for a tire company), he said it's best to include the spare - keeps all the tires on an even wear basis so they'll ride better.

The rotation scheme I use is:

Spare to Right Rear
Right Rear to Right Front
Right Front to Left Rear
Left Rear to Left Front
Left Front to Spare.

It sounds a bit confusing but it's really sort of a counter-clockwise rotation.

Believe it or not, I was bored enough at work one day to draw it out on a spreadsheet.

Take a look at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/midatlanticjeepers/files/ and click on the rotation.xls spreadsheet to download it. I laminated a copy of it and stuck it to the inside of my tailgate.

if you are just rotating them for the first time I would say go for it and get the spare in there... I've always done my just basically the same as cory said there. But I wouldn't bother switching them in if the tires have been on there for a bit...
