Roof Rack - Dave's Owners- please review
I have two local folks with Garvin racks, both with mild rust, and one local guy with a dave's rack, also with mild rust. None of the racks is very old, and this in the southeast, so it's evident that they require some maintenance. All three say their racks are rock solid, all three report some wind noise, so my local research is pretty much even. Those of you that run the 300 or 500 lb rated olympic racks, how was installation, and how does your rack perform? I canoe/kayak, and it's time for a new rack, I'm just doing due diligence before buying.

Rack noise
I have a kargo master on my 05 wrangler and it is rock solid. We use it to haul are canoe. I was able to fix the wind noise by installing a industral farring on the front bar, I bought it form the company ' Rack and Road ' where I got the rack. The industral farring is used mainly for the cab over racks that you see on construction pickups but it works very well on the kargo master master rack.
