The one thing I wish I would have done and will do over the next week is Blue locktite on all the bolts. Anyone who has done this install check your bolts as some will be loose guaranteed.. I'm tempted to weld it in place if they keep getting loose over the next month or so then paint the entire cage black and coat the inside body black with something tough with everything removed from the inside.. Do the Mods ever end.. lol

The best of shots couldn't pull a gun and shoot to kill a bear with a .45 in seconds as its charging.. Bear spray works and all fisherman should carry it because its not you but the fish. Your just the packaging they tear through to get the fish moving as you run.. My 2 cents..

Guns are great but not the best option when it comes to animals that can kill you quickly especially if there's more than one like wolves or wild pigs

I don't know if I would put the pigs into the same category as a bear or wolves....not unless y'all got some different kind of pig.

Ok next venture with the cage .. My kid keeps hitting head and crying when exiting the jeep which is sad and gives me a headache. LOL JOKE!!! I was also thinking if I'm bouncing around on trails that I might hit my head and then really get a headache..

So being the cheap yet inventive type I bought some 1 1/2x1/2x6 foot sections pipe insulation and some black gorilla tape and went at it.. Covered the entire kit for under $25

I cut this bar and bought a bigger center section that bolts in the middle so when I can eventually buy a five point harness it will be solid again yet removable so my kids/passengers can get in easier..

I never put mine back on. That was several winters, rainstorms, etc... ago. I ran a piece or weather strip down the A pillar where the door meets the A pillar just to make sure there was a tight fit.

There is a small gap at the very top where the door, top, and A pillar meet. Only in the heaviest of storms has a bit of water come in. Oh, and when at the car wash, don't give that spot a direct shot.

I don't notice any whistle or extra noise.

Mine whistles just a little bit on the hwy, but as above I used a little weather stripping and it seems pretty good now.

I just finished total $50 decided to cover the entire cage in 1/2 thick foam and gorilla tape. I like the look reminds me of grandpas old jeep back in the 70's
