Rocker protection???

For you guys running the slider type rocker protection such as or-fab's like these how well can the bar be used as a step? I have diamond plate rockers on right now, but people keep complaining about me not having a step so I figured these would work well.

Opinions appreciated

The bars can be used as a step, but the painted surface tends to be slippery. You can use something like skateboard tape to add some traction, but put it on in such a way that it won't tear up your legs getting out of the Jeep when you are wearing shorts. May want to check out the http://www.jeeperman.com/skidz/trail/index.html sliders with diamond plated step and see if they'll fit with your current rockers.

thanks for the help those look better and are cheaper. Plus they seem to be more functional as a step. Looks like I'll order those within the next couple months.
