It's made from solid stock and it has the high clearance tie-rod.

Currie with the savvy tie-rod would be my choice, stock geometry is the best for a TJ.

have you looked at the stock ZJ v8 steering? its a direct TJ bolt in thats a solid tie rod and if anything ever did happen any autoparts store can order parts vs waiting for parts in the mail.

Haven't looked into that much. Do you know or have experience with this conversion?

I run a ZJ tie-rod, beat the **** out of it on 33s with no issues. Definitely want the currie/savvy setup when I go to 35s though.

The problem with the zj set up is that it leaves the stock dragline in place. It's not a total solution.

The Rock Krawler steering works great on my buddies Jeep. I was convinced by the people on here to run the Currie steering, which promptly bent in less than 4 months and only 3-4 wheeling trips. Afterwards everyone chimed in with "it's supposed to bend" "just bend it back" meanwhile my buddies Rock Krawler steering is a couple of years old and hasn't bent yet.
The advantage to the Currie steering however is that if you do manage to break it then your factory steering can be swapped into place as a trail spare to get you home. The Rock Krawler steering requires the steering knuckles to be drilled out IIRC, and that won't allow you to run stock parts anymore.

I think you're a little off. The shell on a turtle is thicker by a factor of 1.6783 while compared to the speed of a Puma, when chasing a rabbit. Therefore, if you hit a nail with a 4 lb. hammer, the thickness of the wood needs to be 4, and your grip should be on your lower regions.

I'm considering doing the same thing. What type of wheeling do you do? How come you got rid of the Currie steering?

Just put in it, seems super solid, but all I have done is drive to work on it so far.
Pro-tip- The guys at RK told me a proper install has the joints at the ends of the tie rod angled about 30 deg versus the knuckle with each end being angled against the other. Helps keep the tie rod secure.
