rock crawling question.

For some reason every time when i start to crawl up the face of a rock, and im at very low rpms of course, i start to get this weird sound mixed with a lil shimmying that the jeep does before it begins to go up the rock.. i was wondering if anyone knows wat exactly is the problem.

im running stock gears, no locker, 33 mt's and a 5 inch lift....

Are you in 4Lo when doing your rock crawling? What axle ratio are you running with those 33" tires?

Well, you're a bit undergeared for 33" tires and rock crawling with your 3.73 ratio so that bit of noise is probably just a tad of extra strain on everything. 4.56 would be ideal for your 33" tires if your TJ has a manual transmission.
