Oh the fun!

So I had to tape off the engraving on the lower valance...

Here's what I had to look forward to:

This is the anti-static poly tape that the powder coater gave me to use:

My weapon of choice:

Before:

After (3 hours later):

All in all it doesn't look bad unless you get your face right up on it. I don't know exactly how the powder reacts to the tape though. I'll ask the coater what he thinks. If he thinks it's going to look like butt, I'll have him remove the tape, smooth out the scratches I made with the knife, and coat over the whole thing. It should leave a cool kind of a ghost image under the powder.

If it does work out I think it will look great with the silver engraving and the clear over the whole thing.

She's going to take the valance back to him for me first thing in the morning. I guess we'll see...

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfunction or uninstall themselves at any time.

Nice Jeep!

What kind of set up have you got on your front track bar? Got any close ups?

Got this today.

transmnt.jpg

Perfect timing, I pick up the body mount bushings tomorrow. This weekend I can install the body lift, motor mount lift, crossmember, and transmission mount. Even if the powder coater doesn't have the other parts ready I'll have plenty of work to do!

You mentioned your air compressed died on you and you wanted to do an engine driven unit. My bracket looks good now, I just need to have time to finish it up. I think you can keep the stock air box as well. I wanted to see if under the hood of a RHDJ is the same as a LHDJ.

the battery is on the passenger side, and the brake master [and my clutch master] are on the driver side... just like a LHD TJ.

i'll get pics of mine.

Dale - I thought you were asking fo pice from gonewhln. I don't know why... brain fart. I'll get pictures up this weekend. I'm not sure I'll have room for the air intake tube, you'll see what I mean in the pictures.

Matt - I'll get your pice this weekend too.

Powder coater won't have my parts back until mid week next week...

Didn't get my new body bushings until late Saturday...

Had some hedges interfere with working on the Jeep Sunday...

So, not a real productive weekend
