Ride Improvement

Does increased lift and larger tires improve a Jeep's rough ride?
I realize a monster lift and stiffer tires may not help, but will a reasonable 4" lift and 33's make hitting a bump on the highway at 60 less bone-jarring?

I just installed RE 3.5" springs and skyjacker hydro shocks and the ride is much better than stock. Its not the height or tires that help the ride, its the springs and shocks. A lot of people say the OME kit is the best riding suspension, but I am very happy ith my setup.

Sold my Jeep earlier this year. Kinda miss it but I love my Infiniti.

I have the RE 4.5" SF w/ OME shocks and I can tell you first hand it rides better than stock (IMO anyway).

Why does Jeep make the suspension so stiff? I'm starting to understand why I see so many more lifted Jeeps than stock.

They don't. The aftermarket parts just happen to be better quality IMO. And I didn't lift mine to attain a better ride, but to give me more clearance for better offroad performance.
