Rev 111 Fender Flares

Hello Everyone,

I know that Rev 111 is no longer making the fender flares, but I have talked with Zach from A to Z fab and they would like to know what we most liked about them and they may be able to create a piece much like that of the Rev 111. So please post here all of your likes and dislikes about them!

I like the way that the fender had that seemingly extra space that the tires could stuff into. I would love to get a set of those kind of fenders.

The styling is pretty nice too.

I know one thing i would like to see is more tire coverage for better protection against the rocks.
Love the styling and ability to stuff the tires up

I really want to get tube fenders but for the price they all just look the same. Most of us use our jeeps for DD and need a fender flare, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say most flares are ugly. The pics I have seen of the Rev 111 fenders look awesome and seem functional. I would buy a set if someone made something similar. The open end tube would be a great place to hide a blinker also.

I will be getting some fenders fabed similar to the REV 111. They will be all welded so the will actually be functional. The Rev 111 were modular. Not very strong. I have seen a few when slid on or rolled on its side the fenders folded pretty easy.

Here is my link to a crap load of pics for reference when I go to get some fabed.

These are the ones I really like.

And this is my Jeep that I will be putting the fenders on.

Rev111's were fugly, had strange styling and were extremely overpriced.

the GOOD things about them - they offered more tire clearance.
My input to Zach:
I'd like to see a Highline tube fender kit. Reuse the inner factory fender by seperating the outter fender from the inner fender, either by drilling out the pinch welds or by just cutting it off. Now attach a skin over it, similar to TnT's phantom fenders. The mounting points on the grill and firewall would be 3/16th steel, and the corners and top section would be 18 guage, bent to a right angle and dropping down to the existing factory inner fenders...very similar to the way AEV does their inner fenders. This means no relocating any components under the hood. Now, run a stiffening rib of 1.25x.120" wall square along the hood line, under the sheet metal so its not visible (factory hood would be cut, or use AEV's highline heat reduction hood). The outter tube would be removable, no flare or 2" flare options, like typical tube fenders, BUT they would be THIN walled Schedule tube, or similar HREW THIN wall tubing.

Why thin walled tubing? Because it will bend and deform when you hit something. Why would you want that? - So you don't screw up your tub when you get into an accident or a tree. Because its thin walled and made of cheaper materials, and bolt on, it would cheaper and easier to replace than trying to fix the tub. The stiffer subframe would still provide support, but the outter tubing would be somewhat "disposable".

I've been thinking on this idea for over 2 yrs, everything from sketches to CAD drawings...I'd be happy to talk directly with somebody who can actually turn it into a workable idea. PMs
