Replacement soft windows in dark khaki

I picked up a set of half doors on craigslist this past weekend and need to replace the soft uppers as the originals are shot. Does anyone make a dark khaki colored replacement? I realize Bestop stopped producing this color several years ago but I wasnt sure if someone still made the uppers. Also if I cannot get this color which brand should I purchase in black? I just need the skins as the frames are in good shape.

Last question, has anyone used fabric paint/dye to change the color of your soft top? I found a pair of smittybuilt spice colored skins that I was thinking about trying to paint to match my dark khaki.

thanks!!

I'm thinking at this point and time you will have to have them made.
Do you have any boat or auto fabric places local?
I hate the fact they quit the Kakhi color.

Fabric spray dye like the auto dealers use.

I was worried about that.

I found this set on amazon and emailed rampage to confirm using the manufacturer part number if it is dark khaki. http://www.amazon.com/Rampage-89736-...=AG48EQ3TN25W7

My other option is to run a black bikini top instead of the soft top, which I am not against since it will prolong the life of my khaki soft top. However if I purchase the wind jammer and duster to keep the elements out I might as well fork for a Trektop, but I am not really a fan of the slant back look.

Guess I need to start looking for a vendor that sells fabric spray dye and try and find a matching color.

Sucks that khaki is no longer easily replaceable. I just settled for black when I found my set of half doors.
The good news is the black matches my Safari top.

I have an LJ, so purchasing a cheap top does not work for me.

What brand did you go with for your black windows? I was thinking spice might be easier to dye khaki then black. Also did you go diamond fabric? How does it compare to the OEM fabric?

They came with the doors. Not sure if they are factory skins or not.
I was going to order khaki skins, but when I couldn't find them, I said fuggit. These will work.

Anyone compared this vendors color to the OEM soft top?

One of the replacements has to be pretty close in color.

I may give these a try and document the color comparison, as I don't think I am the only person with this issue.

Sent an email to the vendor to see if they can confirm a color match.

Good luck finding anything Kakhi for a LJ.
It took Bestop 3 months to find me a replacement that wasn't damaged in some form or other.
They went as far as trying to getto a top for me out of pieces.
My new Kahaki sailcloth has been stored under my bed for 2 years now.

More of a reason for me to run a bikini top and save my soft top.
