Removing the Brake Light Wires....
When I unplug them and then pull them through the tailgate to remove, how would I reinstall it later? I wouldn't think that I would be able to feed them back through the tailgate...or would I?

You have to remove the plastic panel located at the wheelwell (outside the vehicle, above the tire). Then you can feed it right through.

The wires come through a hole in rear tailgate sheet metal. Removing the vent panel lets you reach in to feed them through. They don't come from the body to the tailgate if that's what you're thinking - they have a little 2-button contact plate that makes contact when the tailgate is closed. So if you pull them into the tailgate leave them in there. If you ever want them again you can feed them back out. Nothing else needs to be done.
