Relocating Factory Side Rear View Mirrors

I have been looking for a good & proven piece of hardware to relocate my factory Side rear view mirrors to the side of my windshield. I tried the removable ones, but they whistle from the wind, and the schrews tend to loosen and lose their position. Does anyone have a recommendation for a piece that I can permanently mount my existing mirrors to the windshield, so when I remove my doors, I will still have legitimate & functioning side rear view mirrors? Thanks

I have an '05 Rocky Mountain TJ

I know they're not for everyone but I think the best looking option is from Skid Row. http://www.skidplates.com/MRB_97_TJ.asp Every other option in my opinion, looks cheap and home brewed. This kit comes with stainless screws to cover the factory holes too.

The downsides?
1. Won't work with a snorkel
2. There's contact with the antenna that bugged me, so I bought a little stubby one that fits perfectly HOWEVER, my radio reception has gone down to just about nothing but I don't care because I have XM Satellite Radio.
3. The brackets are made for the mirrors from 97-2002. I noticed you have a 2005 so you'd have to get earlier mirrors.

Happy shopping.

Some companies sell combination mounts for lights and the mirrors. Although for the 03-06 are mirrors are not like the 97-02. Warrior makes a mount you can get from 4wd.com and most other places carry similiar ones. You could always buy a pair of 97-02 mirrors and use those and get those mounts if you don't like your mirrors now. Good luck.
