Reducing lift with spacer blocks?

Hi guys, I was talking to one of my muscle car buddies. I have a TJ with a 4" suspension lift. Can I reduce the lift slightly by adding spacer blocks?

I cant see how it would work with our suspension. I dont think theres a body lift as well, but I'll check. We bought it with the lift, maybe I should just suck it up. Its a good kit, and well done.

any thoughts on easy height reduction......other than bricks or sandbags? lol

I'm pretty sure that would raise it, Maybe he was thinking of a SUA setup with leaf springs? In that application spacer blocks would lower it.

I'm sure your buddy was thinking of a leaf spring suspension where the leaves are mounted UNDER the axle. In that application it would work, but your TJ is coil sprung, so it won't work.

YES, I bet thats what he was thinking. Hes an old school muscle car guy. a relaly cool guy, but most of his stuff is leaf spring, or coil fronts. He did mention under the axle springs, which ours arent.

hmm, sandbags it is!

why not find someone to swap springs with? remember sand bags will add weight and reduce your MPG, or if you dont care add armornand look cool while doing it
