The Rebuild Begins. A Continuing Thread

Well as many of you know I rolled my rubi, well the rebuild has begun and as I go I figure ya'll might like to see it underway.

First, the damage:

Starting to dismantle everything:

So far I have the new tub, grill, fenders, still lookin for a hood and windshield frame, and soft top. It'll probably be a couple months before she's done. Good ol' military pay!

Plans for the rebuild include a full cage, 5 point harnesses and who knows what else.

well, it looks a lot better than any other vehicle that would have went through a rollover, just wondering what were ya doing? wheeling i'm guessing. but hey **** happens and i'm guessing it still runs which is pretty damn cool if ya ask me. jeep rolls over still runs, rice rocket rolls over well we all know that happens there.

Yeah, I drove it off the trail and out to the road. Before heading off to the ER.

damn well dude i'm glad you made it out ok that's the best part. some people say jeeps are unsafe take a look at that carnage and you are ok and lived to tell the tale. I salute you

jeep can be replaced, a life can't.

on that note, if the body was the only thing damaged, that ain't to bad compared to what could've happened. good luck on the build!

agree with the others.....

glad to see another roll bar doing it's job. I've actually been pretty impressed with the stock roll bar in rollovers.

One + about this is that you get to rebuild with aftermarket parts.

AEV hood maybe to replace the stock one???

I'd like to rebuild with aftermarket parts, but time and mostly money wont allow that at this time for the most part

haha, looking at the first pic again, the rollover def gave the jeep character. It looks like its smirking going 'eh?' with its right eyebrow raised.

btw, is that blood all over the hood?

Yep, a piece of glass or something went through my arm and cut an artery, but like I said she got me off the trail so I could get to the ER!

I was stupid, I took a bad line and rather then backing up and taking the right one I went for it....

Will be replaced at the end of this month with a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. Jeep no more baby couldn't be happier
