Rear tire cupping

I have a tire that is cupping on the inside on the passenger side ?

What would cause this and would an alignment help this?

Duane

Duane
-wheel balance
- improper inflation
- worn shocks
- worn springs

Make sure you rotate your tires, keep them properly inflated and balanced.

it's the front passenger side, right?
I would think that if it was due to alignment, it might cup both front tires, I could be wrong.

Get new shocks , if you need them.

Cupping is caused by overinflation (center of tire wearing down prematurely). If it is wearing uneven i.e. inside edge of tire wearing, outside edge fine, then it's probably one of the above mentioned things other than tire inflation, and/or a failed or severly worn ball joint.
