rear seats with headrest?

Has anyone ever tried to mount an aftermarket bucket seat in the rear of their Jeep? I have been trying to find out options for my two boys in the back seats for head support. I wish someone made a fold and tumble seat with removable headrest. Just gives me another reason to envy the JKs. Thanks.

You don't need new seats. Like ^^^^^^^^^ said, there was a thread somewhere about buying some headrests off of ebay or something and making them fit to your tj. a lot cheaper, and a lot easier.

And $150.00 just for the headrest? I'm tellin you, you can find some headrests on ebay or something and make them fit to your existing TJ seat.

Jeep Rear Seat with Headrests

I cut headrests from a 1990's gm truck seat and welded them to the TJ upper steal seat frame. I am 6'4", and the head rests adjust high enough for my head support. The rear seat will still fold and tumble when the head rests are pushed down. I looked for months trying to find a suitable solution. Even ordered the Bestop rear seat with headrests. It was no where near high enough to support an adult passenger. The rear view photo shows head rests about mid height adjustment. I am new to the forum...will try to upload a couple of photos.
