rear main seal

I'm planning on doing my rear main seal should i buy a new oil pan gasket or should i stick with liquid gasket

What is involved in replacing the rear main seal? Mine just started to leak and i need to replace when it gets warm. Mine is the 2.5, can i get in there through the oil pan?

I like gaskets. I hate the liquid make-a-gasket crap because I can never get it to seal. But others swear by it.

I thought the 2.5L had a one piece gasket which would require removal of the transmission. Maybe I am wrong. The 4.0 liter has a 2 piece gasket.
