Rear diff lube amt?

Hi all,
Was checking fluid levels and rear diff was low (no obvious leaks) so added 80/90 GL until just about to level of hole (as I've always done on previous vehicles) then saw a tag on axle housing listing 80/90 and 6 oz. Is this a correct amt? Just doesn't seem like much!

fill it to the bottom of the hole.
