Rear Dana 44 outer axle seals

Hi List!

My TJ recently failed inspection because the outer axle seal on my rear Dana 44 is leaking on the drivers side and my brake pads are oily. I'm trying to find the replacement part and I'm finding it harder than I realized.. its a case of too much info, a lot of which conflicts. I always though a Dana 44 was pretty much a Dana 44, but the part numbers seem to vary all over the place and no two pictures look alike. I *think* the part matches the outer seals from the CJ D44s as well.. can anyone verify that and put my mind at ease? For instance, here on eBay:

Should I be replacing the inner seals as well? Bearings? I plan on doing both sides (if one is leaking, I figure the other probably is as well, or will be)

Thanks!

That seal looks like the right one. Yep, plan on replacing the bearings and bearing retainer at the same time since you can't replace the seal without destroying them to get them off. The bearing and bearing retainer both have to be removed to get the seal off.

Here's how to do the job... http://www.stu-offroad.com/axle/d44/d44-1.htm
