Rear Bumper bolt size

Hello all, I recently purchased a bumper/spare carrier combo, and the factory bumper (which was heavy on modification but light on proper technique) would not allow me to salvage the lower bolts. I got four new upper bolts with this bumper setup, but was supposed to reuse the lowers.
I've tried to get bolts from the hardware store, but without something to take in to the store with me, I gave up after three trips into the store, only to return 10 minutes later after finding out my purchase was not correct.
I'm wondering if anyone knows what size the correct bolts are. I have no idea where to start. OR, does anyone know if length/thread measurements are the same for the front vs. rear bumpers? I can pull two bolts from the front and try them in the rear, and if they end up working, then I know which bolts to take into the hardware store tomorrow.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I tried searching my really old post on rear bumper swap to no luck. I think they are metric 8M or 10M (fine or course thread i'm not sure). I'd buy 2 8M fine 2 8M course. (10M as well to be sure) and return what you don't use or have some spare bolts to use for something else.

I keep hearing this: 12mm with a 1.75mm pitch 50mm long.

I actually copied and pasted here so that when I logon tomorrow at work, I'll have the size, and I can head over to Lowe's on my lunchbreak. :-)

Thank you, SolidBrass. I think we as Jeepers need to rally against Jeep and demand they sell more hardware separately. I work in the auto parts biz, and I called my contact at the local Jeep dealer, who had to give me the bad news. "I have to buy a factory bumper just to get bolts?" <----I'm making this comment PG-13 by removing swear words. :-)

Yeah, 12M does sound right. If the cap of the stock bolt is 18mm or 19mm (socket size) then that's what you want.
