RE Upgrade or Full Package?

Hi All and Happy Holidays... in the neverending saga of my debating converting to LAs' I recently recieved some good advice and may just stick with the SAs and upgrade shocks.

BUT not fully decided...

So my question, what is the difference between the RE 3.5" Extreme Duty and just the LA upgrade? Is it just the coils? Because I have FT coils I like already.

IF I do go LA, I'd love to save some coin and just go w/ the upgrade package.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

The upgrade package just gives you the belly pan and control arms. It doesn't include the front upper control arms, and I believe you can only use the RE arms.
The whole RE long arm kit includes the track bars and brake lines and such.
If you already have shocks and springs you like, just stick with the upgrade package!

Front RE longarms are a "Y" design. There is no upper arm connected to the frame.

may i ask why not RE? and you say to buy teraflex before RE?

For the op i would just get the upgrade and any adjustable front upper will work but i went with the RE's when i installed my kit,i kept my old shocks and springs. the upgrade also comes with a SS longer rear brake hose. the ride difference was night/day over my short arms

I had the RE 4.5 SF and just did the RE Long Arm upgrade. Bought the kit from Northridge4x4 for around $1580 ship! Night and Day! Install took around 8 hours, just make sure you have the right drill bits.
