due to other circumstances i may be changing directions, ive been looking at the RE longarm upgrade. im already running the Re4.5sf kit now, this looks to be the cheapest way to go long arms, is anyone running this kit nowand how do they like it, pros vs cons
I'm running this kit and love it. i haven't been on the rocks yet. living in Florida it limited. On the road its smooth as silk. took me and some buddies about a weekend to put on the kit. get some grinders and get to work. also i welded my spacers as recommended.
im assuming you already had the RE short arm before the LA upgrade so what parts did you loose from the old lift. im assumingi would loose my belly up skid
You will definitely lose the belly up do to the RE skid plate that incorporates the lower CAs.Might want to check into the tri-link upgrade too. It's nice.Your upgrade will include stainless brake line and 6 adj. control arms.Probably going to have to modify your exhaust also.:-(
I upgraded mine about 5 years ago. I like it, never had a single issue with it at all. I did have to put a cherry bomb exhaust on to clear the upper passenger rear control arm.
