RE Gen II's

Installed the re gen II sway bar discos and now everytime i turn the tie rod and drag link (where the connect) hit the lynch pin bending it and making it unable to pull out. It also has torn the grease boot. Anyone else have this problem? What should i do to solve it?

is your sway-bar moving from side to side causing the links to hit the frame as well? If so try 4x4xplor, he had a nice trick on installing some collars to keep it from moving

My buddy lost a pin and had his discos swinging around in the wheel well going 75 on the turnpike in NJ. (RE G2's)

I just installed my GenII's today as well as my extended brake lines. I had to kick and pull and beat my sway bar about 1" towards the passenger side as it somehow shifted. I can't really picture how it's hitting. Do you have a digi cam that could post some pics?

Ok, I have to ask. Is your sway bar level point towards the rear of the Jeep or do you have it pointing down connected?

The reason I ask Is I've seen them installed wrong before where the swaybar was pointing down opposed to level.

If your not even sure what I'm talking about look at my website in my signature and look at my write-up. I have zero issues the way I'm installed.

This isnt my pic, only using it as a reference but on my jeep the pin is almost level with the grease boot (red circle). When I make a right turn the pin hits the grease boot (yellow arrow) and in turn bends the pin in the blue square making it impossible to get out without pliers. I've gone through 3 now in about 2 weeks. When i gotta use pliers it kinds takes the "quick" of out quick discos. They are installed properly too. Any ideas?

How the heck are you cose enough to hit the pin on the boot? Just looking at that picture (and I know thats not your rig), its 3 inches or better from the boot. I have the Gen 2's on mine, and it never has come close to hitting. Sorry, I havent been much help.

Well this isnt the exact problem you were having but mine on that side was actually running into the steering stabilizer mount everytime i made a right turn and making an annoying popping sound everytime i turned. The problem eliminated itself when i went to re's adjustable trackbar and moved it back to the factory mounting hole. That redrilling the factory one is a stupid idea and caused me all sorts of problems

Are you running a dropped pitman arm? How much lift do you have?
The more lift the closer those get together.

So why don't you post a pic of yours? Something is obviously wrong...and I'm running the same lift as you with zero problems. Maybe we'll see something out of the ordinary. I'd bet its' something simple.

Just a thought.
