RC Long Arm Project

Ok, every year me and another guy here (Jason) go the the Badlands off road park in Attica IN, for a NAXJA Winterfest. Which is a ride of nothing but XJ cherokees from the NAXJA board. Jason is on the NAXJA forum and is always invited to this ride and as usual I am the driver of what ever vehicle goes. Last year we attended with about 60 XJ cherokees and I was the only one there with a TJ. We took a fellow employee and board members jeep on here (RC JEEP) or Chad which performed flawlessly as usual as long as he is not driving it.
Well this year since Chad has sold the jeep we were given a budget of 5,000 out of company money to build an XJ, but within a few hours of looking for an XJ the ceo of RC decided we needed to build a long arm kit. Well to make a long story short, we have had a 4 banger tj tore apart sitting for about 3 years on a stand just to roll it around out of the way. We decided to put our 5,000 budget into this tj and get what favors we could. Keep in mind we only have 3 weeks to get this thing going and wheeling before we leave on March 6th for In. We already have 5 15x8 Raceline Beadlocks and **** Cepek 35x12.50x15 Crushers on the way along with Super 35 kit for the rear and front and rear chromo axles with 4.88. We are building the complete long arm from scratch. Cage is ordered form the good guys and customers at EOR in Nashville tn. We are currently working on the suspension and will have all the axle parts and wheels and tires here hopefully at the end of the week. I will try to update pic as often as possible but cant really get into real detail of what we are going to do as far as the suspension. But whatever lift is on this jeep is what we are going to produce.

Here are few pics of the start.

Right now I think we are going for rubber on one end of arms and gonna use our new johnny joints on the other. Been working all day on the link mounts and tabs for the arms. We were gonna do a one peice truss on the rear but was gonna be a real pain in the butt to do so.

make it with a high clearnace skid ( as high clearance as you can with out motor mount lifts or anyother mod. ) something that can take a hit. and hopefully offer it just as a long arm upgrade for the guys already running lifts

I'd love to see something like the 33 engineering skid.
It's two piece which allows you to service the tranny w/o dropping the tranny.
It weighs great! (aluminum version)
Recessed bolts (less snagging on rocks
3/8ths thick

Im deff going to keep my eye on this. I have your short arm kit, the basic one and i just ordered your new upper adj contro, arms with the new X flex joint. I havent been able to get them on my jeep yet (weather, being stuck down at school) and im prob going to order your rear adj track bar when i put my 8.8 rear axle in. I would love to see a long arm kit from you guys, everything else i have from you has been great and one day id like to go long arm.

Very nice, I'll be watching this. And the Badlands is one of my favorites. Nice pick.
